NJ Transit offers extra service for New Year's Eve

NEWARK - (AP) - New Jersey Transit says it will offer extrabus and train service to accommodate New Year's Eve revelers.

NJ Transit will operate late-night trains after midnight as wellas special late-night bus service from the Port Authority BusTerminal to accommodate New Jerseyans returning home fromcelebrations in New York City.

During the day Friday, trains will operate on a modifiedschedule on all lines. Some early morning trains will not operatedue to expected light ridership. Additional New York-bound trainswill operate between 10 a.m. and noon on the Northeast Corridor,North Jersey Coast and Morris & Essex lines.

In South Jersey, the River Line will add late trains toaccommodate people attending festivities on the Camden waterfront.
