SECAUCUS - NJ Transit kicked off its Music in Motion program Tuesday with auditions in train hubs across New Jersey.

Artists were judged by NJ Transit employees, industry professionals, and residents of New Jersey.

The winners are invited to perform for commuters in the series held at Hoboken terminal, Secaucus Junction and Newark Penn Station..

NJ Transit spokesperson William J. Smith says the program will launch on Friday afternoons this month.

If the program is successful, it will be expanded another six months, and possibly through the Super Bowl.
