RAHWAY - Lawmakers in the New Jersey state Senate have introduced a bill that would reduce wait time at state Motor Vehicle Commission offices.

The Assembly State Government Committee bill would force the MVC's chief administrator to make changes that would ultimately guarantee a customer a wait time of 15 minutes or less.

MVC lines have grown dramatically over recent months since budget cuts have forced office closures. Some residents say they have had to wait around for hours, missing work and other commitments just to renew their driver's license.
