EDISON - New Jersey residents demonstrated for gun legislation today on the four-month anniversary of the Newtown tragedy.

Demonstrators collected 68 different pairs of shoes to represent all of the people killed by guns in New Jersey since the massacre.

Group members say they support efforts in Congress to pass new gun laws.

The NRA has criticized pending legislation, saying background checks at places like gun shows will not prevent shootings, solve violent crime or keep school children safe.
