TRENTON - Two property tax relief bills have been tabled in the state Senate as lawmakers considered other fiscal proposals that could affect Gov. Chris Christie's $32.1 billion state budget.

The Budget Committee heard a bill today that would stop municipalities from charging user fees that are outside the 2 percent tax cap, and a measure to reverse a 2010 law expanding the state's unclaimed property law.

A balanced budget must be signed into law by July 1, the start of the new fiscal year.
