TRENTON - (AP) - More than 100 New Jersey National Guard troops have returned home from Afghanistan.

The 150th Engineer Company was feted Tuesday during ceremonies at its home base in Hammonton. The unit is comprised of citizen soldiers from 19 of New Jersey's 21 counties.

The unit deployed to Afghanistan to construct infrastructure and to take down military bases in order to return areas to their original state.

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, Rep. Frank LoBiondo and the state's Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. Michael Cunniff were on hand to welcome the unit home.
