NJ Marathon tightens security in wake of Boston bombings

LONG BRANCH - Security was tightened at the New Jersey Marathon today in the wake of last month's bombings at the Boston Marathon.

According to rules in place by Homeland Security and state and local police, backpacks were banned for runners and spectators. Runners carried their belongings in race-approved clear plastic bags.

Many runners and spectators wore blue and yellow in support of Boston.
