TRENTON - A Democrat in the state Assembly wants voters to decide if same-sex marriage should be legalized in New Jersey.

Assemblyman Reed Guscoria is proposing that same-sex marriage be put into the hands of New Jersey voters. Guscoria was a sponsor of a same-sex marriage bill that was eventually vetoed by Gov. Chris Christie.

Legislative Democrats say they still plan to try and override the governor's veto, but they need several Republicans to vote in order to be successful.
