NEW BRUNSWICK - U.S. employment figures have hit the highest level in four years.

In Middlesex County, the people who work at Workforce Development, a job placement agency, say that job opportunities are out there.

The company says they have recently been placing people at various jobs with a wide range of skill levels.

Jane Brady, director of Workforce Development, says she hasn't been able to hold career fairs since 2008 due to lack of jobs. This year, she's already held four, and is planning another job fair in a couple of weeks.

Brady also reports that both retail and IT jobs are in demand.

New Jersey's unemployment figures for the month of September will be released in about two weeks.
