EDISON - Baseball is back in the big city tonight with both the Yankees and Mets holding their home openers.

Many around New Jersey say they are a bit cautious about their team doing well this year given the number of injuries plaguing both teams.

Today’s games mark the first time the two New York teams have started their season at home on the same day.

The Yankees are taking on their favorite foes, the Boston Red Sox. Both teams are wearing ribbons today to honor the victims of the Newtown, Conn. school shooting.
