EDISON - If you’re planning on hitting the roads this Thanksgiving, you make want to give yourself some extra time.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says a coastal system could bring heavy rain, winds and even snow to parts of the northeast on Wednesday, the busiest travel day of the year.

Gregorio says precipitation is likely to stay wet in the Garden State, but snow is possible for those traveling west and north.

Gregorio says travelers should keep a close eye on the weather as Thanksgiving approaches.
