News 12 New Jersey viewers share love story

WOODLAND PARK - The quest to find New Jersey's best Valentine's Day story led News 12 New Jersey to Woodland Park.

The couple, Anthony and Allison Abate, shared that they found love in an unexpected way.

Both Anthony and Allison attended a Fourth of July party when the two thought they were meeting for the first time. It turns out that they were friends when they were younger and played together 15 years earlier on the Little League field.

The couple realized that they had known each other from their childhood when Allison's mom asked what Anthony's mom's name was, since she remembered him from his Little League days.

Anthony says it was kind of scary and surprising. Allison says if you aren't out there looking for love, it's right in front of your face.
