Newark police say a suspect who allegedly opened fire on someone has been arrested, and a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition were recovered.

NEWARK - Newark police say a suspect who allegedly opened fire on someone has been arrested, and a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition were recovered.

Police say they arrested 21-year-old Wazir Davis Friday.

Davis is accused of opening fire on someone on Renner Avenue earlier this month.

The victim was not hit, but police were able to confirm the victim's story.

Police say officers recovered the gun and ammunition in Davis' home after an extensive investigation.
