NEWARK - A Newark mother is calling for the violence to stop after her last son became the city’s 104th homicide victim.

Tyquan Rogers, 20, died at University Hospital Tuesday after being shot Monday around 7:15 p.m. Authorities say they found Rogers on the ground and unresponsive on South 11th Street.

Sonia Rogers says all three of her sons were killed in shootings and that the violence needs to stop.

“You destroyed my family three times,” she says. “I was not your target. You killed me though. And then you left me here like this.”

No arrests have been made in any of the fatal shootings. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Rogers family.

Anyone who might have any information about the murders should contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office’s Tip Line at 877-847-7432 or email HomicideTips@njecpo.org.
