Newark mayor says he might run for a 3rd term

NEWARK - (AP) - Newark Mayor Cory Booker now says he mightrun for a third term after all.

He told The Star-Ledger of Newark that he's thinking aboutanother term just months after starting his second - and saying hewould not run again.

He says a $100 million donation to support the city's schoolsfrom Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is the difference. As part of the deal, Booker is getting primary responsibilityfor remaking the school system.

He says that effort will take longer than the three years andnine months he has remaining in his second term.

If Booker stays in Newark, it might preclude a run for governoror senator.
