NEWARK - Newark homeowner and Iraq war veteran Will Bynum says two men broke into his home yesterday afternoon, forcing him to shoot one of the suspects.

According to Bynum, he came home to find the first intruder, but grabbed his gun and was able to get him to leave. Bynum says he then heard rustling in the basement and found a second man with a hammer.

Bynum says he shot the second intruder, who was then arrested by Newark police. Officials have not released the suspect's name.

Newark police say the incident is under investigation and they're looking for the other suspect. They also say it's unlikely that Bynum will face charges.
