Newark Liberty International Airport's AirTrain closed for repairs until July

The AirTrain, a vital link to Newark Liberty International Airport, was shut down for repairs Thursday. (5/2/14)

NEWARK - The train line connecting Amtrak and New Jersey Transit to Newark Liberty International Airport has been suspended for 2½ months for repairs.

Travelers will now have to take a shuttle bus when going between terminals at the airport. 

Buses are also available to and from Newark Penn Station for connections to NJ Transit.

Orange signs and customer representatives have been placed throughout the terminal directing travelers where to go.

The repairs to the AirTrain will last through July 15.  Customers are urged to allow for extra travel time when using the buses in the case of traffic.
