NEWARK - Kids in Newark are getting a new playground courtesy of the Morgan Stanley Healthy Cities program.

Hundreds of volunteers were at the site on South Orange Avenue Friday, turning a rundown area into a safe and fun place for Newark families to gather.

"It was an empty lot with a rusted fence," says Jeffery Crystal, of Morgan Stanley. "They're gonna turn that dilapidated parking lot into something that's gonna be a safe haven for children to come to in Newark."
