NEWARK - Newark officials have launched a plan to help curb speeding on city streets.

The city is investing nearly $600,000 to install speed bumps, rumble strips and cross walks on 43 streets.

Mayor Cory Booker calls the project the greatest speed-calming effort in the history of Newark.
