NEWARK - A fundraiser was held all day Saturday at a Newark IHOP, honoring its manager who was shot and killed at the restaurant last week.

Papa Khaly Ndiaye, known as Mohammed Sy to friends and co-workers, was shot and killed while trying to break up a fight last Saturday. From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, 30 percent of all sales at the IHOP were donated to University Hospital in memory of Ndiaye.

Two other people were injured in the shooting. No arrests have been made and surveillance video has been released by police to help locate the shooter.

Some of the funds raised will also go toward anti-violence efforts in Newark.
