Newark carjacking victim robbed at gunpoint

NEWARK - The victim of another Newark carjacking says he was robbed at gunpoint Monday night.

According to Joshua Mack, he was delivering food for Domino's Pizza when thieves took his bag and paycheck.

Police say they are holding Mack's car for now because his personal items were taken at gunpoint.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, Newark carjackings fell to 38 in January after a multi-jurisdictional task force was organized. The office says carjackings had peaked in November and December, with more than 100 reported during those months.
