UNION TOWNSHIP - Managers at a brand new ShopRite celebrated the opening of the store with a preview party Monday.

The new 60,000 square foot market on Route 22 in Union Township replaces a smaller, older store that has already closed.

The new store will employ more than 350 full and part time employees, which is more than twice the number of jobs the older location provided.

"We're fortunate enough to take an old building and make it a state-of-the-art store," said Bill Sumas, of Village Super Market, Inc.
