TRENTON - Voters will decide next week whether to raise the state's minimum wage by a dollar.

If voters approve the measure, the wage would climb from $7.25 to $8.25 an hour.

Saying yes would also tie the wage to inflation, so future increases will keep up with the cost of living.

Increasing the minimum wage is one of just two questions on the ballot this year. The other would allow veterans organizations to benefit from gambling proceeds.
