New Jersey star picked by Spurs in NBA Draft

EDISON - Kyle Anderson's two-year run at St. Anthony's in Jersey City will go down as one of the best in New Jersey high school basketball history. 

Now, the Fairview native hopes to join a new streak with the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. 

Anderson was selected by the Spurs with the last pick in the first round last night - 30th overall.

He and his family anxiously watched at a restaurant in Harlem. 

"It was just a great feeling to hear my name called by such a great organization," Anderson said.

He helped St. Anthony’s to a 65-0 record and lead the team to a so-called mythical national championship before playing at UCLA.
