EDISON - The Garden State is getting ready for another round of heat, courtesy of Mother Nature.
New Jersey residents are preparing for what is expected to be the fourth heat wave of the summer months. Some in Colonia will be spending the peak heat hours eating ice cream at the Colonia Dairy Maid.
News 12 News Jersey's meteorologist SallyAnn Mosey says temperatures will combine with humidity to make it feel close to 100 degrees for the next two days.
A break in the heat is expected to come on Thursday.
All residents are reminded to stay in air conditioned areas, avoid strenuous outdoor activities, and to stay hydrated.
