NEW JERSEY - National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live. It is held on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Asbury Park - 5-8 pm - 1 Municipal Plaza - Rides, games, music, free food.

Bloomfield - 5:30 pm - JFK Dr. & James St. - Cop vs. firefighter softball game, free food, music.

Brick - 6 pm - Windward Beach Park on Princeton Ave. (Canceled due to inclement weather) - Police Camp graduation (On as scheduled 7 pm)

Chatham - 6-9 pm - 495 River Rd. - Firehouse tours, music, bring-your-own food to grill.

Clark - 7-10 pm - 365 Westfield Ave. - Giveaways, free food, fire trucks, police cars. 

Clifton - 6-9:45 pm - Main Memorial Park on Main Ave. - Rides, games, food, movie screening.

Cranford - 6-9 pm - Robert F. Hand Plaza - Magician, blood drive, face painting, performances.

East Windsor - 6-9 pm - 30 Airport Rd. - Child safety seat inspections, face-painting, music.

Edison - 6 pm - 100 Municipal Blvd. - Bounce house, free food, drive-in movie at 8:30 pm.

Elizabeth - 6-8 pm - Front St. & Elizabeth Ave. - Citizen awards, demonstrations, music, food.

Ewing - 6-8 pm - 2 Jake Garzio Dr. - Dunk tank, free food, bounce house, fire trucks, music.

Fairfield - 5-9 pm - Hollywood Ave. from Kennedy Dr. - Annette Rd. - DJ, prizes, games, food.

Flemington - 5-9 pm - 120 West Woodschurch Rd. - Car show, prizes, free food.

Franklin - 6:30 pm - 500 Pennsylvania Ave. - Fire truck slide, demonstrations, movie screening.

Freehold - 5-9 pm Municipal Lot on Stillwells Corner Rd. - Rides, petting zoo, blood drive, fire, police and EMS vehicles.

Hillside - 5-8 pm Hillside Community Pool on Central Ave. - Relays, music, games, prizes.

Hoboken 5:30-9 pm - 4th St. & Garden St. Performances, water slides, bouncy house.

Howell - 5-8 pm - Lanes Mill Marketplace on Rte. 9 - Giveaways, demonstrations, activities.

Lakehurst - 6-10 pm - Chestnut & Myrtle St. - K-9 demo, games, fire trucks, police cars, food.

Livingston - 5:30-8:30 pm - 333 South Livingston Ave. - Outdoor movie, live music, dunk tank.
