EDISON - A New Jersey man has been freed after Governor Chris Christie commuted his seven year sentence earlier this week.

Brian Aitken was convicted over the summer of possessing guns he bought legally in Colorado, but didn't have the right permit for them in New Jersey.

Aitken's supporters say he was moving, which should have exempted him from the law.

Aitken's conviction remains intact; so he says he is going forth with an appeal to clear his name.
