SAYREVILLE - Rolling Stone has released the nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, one New Jersey music icon was left off the list.

Jon Bon Jovi was not among the nominees in this year's selection group.

Fans say the snub is shocking considering all the sold out concerts, worldwide recognition and countless albums sold. The Sayreville native has sold more than 130 million records and continues to tour successfully around the world.

The list includes Nirvana, Kiss, Hall and Oates, Deep Purple, Linda Ronstadt, Yes, the Zombies, Cat Stevens and about half a dozen other lesser known names.

Fans can vote for the eligible acts through Dec. 10 on RollingStone.com.
