NEWARK - Several groups of New Jersey residents are making the pilgrimage to Washington, D.C. this weekend to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.

The event honoring the "March on Washington" will also highlight the struggles and accomplishments of the modern civil rights movement.

"It's a privilege actually to be there and be a part of history," says social studies teacher Larry Bello. "As I call it, history in the making."

The march is set to begin Saturday at 12:30 p.m. President Obama is expected to speak.
