EDISON - Due to the political unrest in the Middle East, oil prices have been sent through the roof.

News 12 New Jersey found out where you can save a few cents a gallon at the pump. New Jersey drivers in search of a bargain are now flocking to an unlikely place, the New Jersey Turnpike.

State officials told News 12 New Jersey by phone that the reason the Turnpike prices are so much cheaper is that they're only allowed to change them once a week. They say these prices are based on a statewide average taken from last week so you're actually seeing a seven-day lag time. They say starting at 7 a.m. Friday, you can expect these prices to jump.
