New Jersey claims Jets, who still use New York name

EDISON - A sendoff for the Jets is being held this weekend at the team's training facility in Florham Park.

Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) has made it clear that he claims Gang Green, stating that they practice and play their home games in New Jersey. However, the Jets still go by their name from when they played at Shea Stadium, the New York Jets.

News 12 New Jersey spoke to New Jerseyans about what they think of the Jets' name. Many Garden State football fans say hands off, that the Jets should incorporate "Jersey" in their name.

Others say that it doesn't matter what you call the Jets, as long as they win on Sunday.
