LONG BRANCH - New Jersey is bracing for another round of wintry weather.
Tuesday's snow gave way to freezing rain and rain for most of the state. But nearly 60 schools, mostly in north Jersey, delayed opening on Wednesday because of slippery spots.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says rain Wednesday will change to snow during the overnight hours and into Thursday morning. Central and southern New Jersey could see as much as 5 to 9 inches of snow. As much as 4 to 6 inches of snow could fall in other parts of the state.
The good news for many across the Garden State is temperatures are expected to be in the mid-40s for much of next week.
