New casino and resort in Atlantic City introduced

ATLANTIC CITY - The face of Atlantic City is changing, with the city's first new casino in almost a decade preparing to open.

The new Revel Casino is the second tallest building in all of New Jersey. Inside, it features 1,900 sleek modern hotel rooms with ocean views, as well as restaurants, bars, a spa, two theaters, retail space and a casino.

The casino begins previews on April 2. The official grand opening is Memorial Day weekend. Once open, Revel will employ about 5,000 people. It has already provided thousands of temporary construction jobs.

Developers say they hope the new casino and resort will bring in people who are close to Atlantic City but have never visited.
