NEW BRUNSWICK - Members of New Brunswick High School's class of 1958 are hoping a $10,000 reward will help solve the murder of one of their classmates.

Gail Hariton, 59, was stabbed to death more than 13 years ago and her killer has never been caught.

Hariton, a retired school teacher, was found by a maintenance worker inside her unit at the Pardun Apartments.

Attorney Bert Busch graduated from New Brunswick High School with Hariton in 1958 and says his friend died a violent death. "She would have been one of the last people I would have expected to die as a result of murder. No one can figure why," Busch says.

Hariton had no siblings or children to demand justice, but the class of '58 has not forgotten her. They raised the reward money at their last reunion.

Investigators hope the reward generates new leads in the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County.
