NEPTUNE CITY - Two men walked into a convenience store early Saturday, demanded money, and viciously attacked one of the employees.

Surveillance cameras were rolling during the attack at the Exxon station on Brighton Avenue and police are hoping the video will help them identify the men involved.

The 56-year-old attendant was pushed against a display and beaten to the ground. Police say the victim never put up a fight.

Investigators say one of the suspects lost his mask during the robbery and looked right at the camera. Both suspects fled the scene on foot.

The attendant was treated for his injuries and is back at work two days later.

Police are asking anyone who might recognize the men to call Neptune city police at (732) 775-1615.
