MILLSTONE - The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Monmouth County Tuesday afternoon.

A funnel cloud was spotted in Millstone and a News 12 New Jersey viewer even submitted a video of it. Officials say the tornado cut a path of destruction just 50 yards wide and three-quarters of a mile long. A tornado warning was never issued, but a severe thunderstorm warning was.
