National Retail Federation: 'ME' shopping up 16 percent

The National Retail Federation says "ME" shopping is up 16 percent this year to $130.43 per person. The Retail Federation says it's the highest number

PARAMUS - The National Retail Federation says "ME" shopping is up 16 percent this year to $130.43 per person. The Retail Federation says it's the highest number recorded since it started tracking "ME" shopping sales in 2004. At the Paramus Park Mall, some shoppers told News 12 New Jersey they're not surprised. They said they're finding more post-Christmas sales and deeper discounts on clothes compared to last year at this time.

One shopper bought a cashmere sweater at Macy's for 60-percent off. The holiday shopping season officially ends Saturday. Retailers won't know how they did until Jan. 12.
