EDISON - The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) has expanded agency hours at all of its service centers across the state.

According to MVC officials, the move adds nearly 10 additional service hours per week at each of the state's 39 service centers. Authorities say the extended hours are "an important part of our continuing efforts to provide New Jerseyans a positive customer experience at each of our 39 agencies."

The move reversed a decision last summer to close on Mondays to save money.

Despite the new hours, a statewide computer malfunction earlier today left the state agencies unable to do business for most of the morning.

All service centers have moved to the following schedule:
