Mother says typing software introduced daughter to pedophile

POINT PLEASANT BOROUGH - A mom from Ocean County says her daughter met a child predator in a chat room on a website she was taught to use in class.

Cathy Millet says her fifth grade daughter met an adult male through a chat room on the website Millet says the man even asked for a picture of her daughter.

Millet says her daughter learned about the website from her technology teacher to practice her typing skills at home. The school district says the site is no longer being introduced to children in class.

Millet says her issue now with the school district is that a note was never sent home specifically mentioning the problem with this website. She says she only received a booklet with general information about dangers online.
