Mother Nature steals Christmas profits from ski resorts

MAHWAH - Mother Nature has become the Grinch that stole Christmas for ski resorts in New Jersey. Campgaw Mountain, Hidden Valley Club and Mountain Creek should all be prepping for a packed Christmas ski weekend, but the record-breaking heat this fall has made the snow a no-show.

New Jersey ski resorts are currently home to man-made snow and mud patches, which hasn't done much for business.

Representatives from all three resorts say as long as the temperatures drop like they're expected to this weekend, they should be able to make enough snow to open on Monday morning.
