SADDLE BROOK - A Garfield mother was arrested for allegedly taking a cellphone that did not belong to her from a restaurant in Saddle Brook.
Police say Myra Rodriguez took the phone that was accidently left on the floor of the Hibachi Grill Buffet Restaurant. Earlier this week, Saddle Brook police released surveillance video that seemed to show Rodriguez directing a young boy to pick up the dropped phone and bring it to her.
Saddle Brook police say they received several leads from the public after the video was released.

Rodriguez reportedly told police that she mailed the phone back to the police department. They have not received the phone yet, but say it is likely still being processed by the post office.
Rodriguez is charged with theft and endangering the welfare of a minor.
