MORRISTOWN - A Morristown bridal shop did its part this Veterans Day to honor those who have served our country.

The i do…i do… Bridal Studio  offered 125 gowns to veterans, active-duty military personnel and their fiancees.

Tarah Smith, who is currently planning a wedding to a National Guardsman, says she was scared and hesitant at first. "The whole experience was wonderful," she said. "I love it."

Bride-to-be Jaclyn Clark is used to wearing Army fatigues, and had planned on buying a discounted gown. Instead, she walked away with an extra special dress. "I am forever grateful for this gown," she says. "I would never be able to have this gown if it wasn't for this."

The average cost of a wedding dress is more than $1,200, so the sale made a real difference to couples on a budget. "We're glad to give," says Leia Marley of i do...i do... "Honor any of them and all of them for serving our country."

This was the third year i do... i do... has hosted the event. Owners say they hope to attract more marrying members of the military next Veterans Day.

The event was first-come, first-serve and many recipients showed up Sunday ahead of the shop's opening Monday morning.
