More than 52,000 homes and businesses remain without service five days after the first bands of the storm hit the Garden State.Jersey Central Power &

TRENTON - More than 52,000 homes and businesses remain without service five days after the first bands of the storm hit the Garden State.

Jersey Central Power & Light has 47,000 customers without power. PSE&G is restoring electricity to 4,800 customers from what it calls the worst storm in the company's history.

Atlantic City Electric has 148 customers without power.

Orange & Rockland Power is reporting a few remaining outages, 503 in Bergen County, 389 in Passaic County and seven in Sussex.Restoration estimates range from the weekend to early next week.
