More medical marijuana dispensaries on the way

TRENTON - New Jersey may soon open up more medical marijuana dispensaries.

Gov. Chris Christie's proposed budget doubles funding for the program to $1.6 million.

The extra money would be used to build and maintain treatment centers, as well as cover the costs for inspections, testing protocols and store monitoring.

The state has one fully operational dispensary in Montclair, with four more on the way.
