MONTCLAIR - The owners of Greenleaf Compassion Center are putting the finishing touches on their medical marijuana dispensary in Montclair, and say they hope to open in late August or early September.
State regulators already gave their approval to start growing the drug, but won't let them start distribution until the office is operational.
Critics say the state has dragged its feet for political reasons, but Greenleaf executives say they're ready to move.
Of the six approved alternative treatment centers across the state, Greenleaf is the only one approved to begin growing medical marijuana.
