Montclair firefighters look to raise funds with their mustaches

MONTCLAIR - Some have been calling November "Movember" month, a time where men across the globe grow facial hair for charities such as the Montclair firefighters.

News 12 New Jersey spoke to some of the Montclair firefighters about why they are growing facial hair. They say they're doing it to raise awareness for men's health issues.

Statistics show that one in every two men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, compared with one in every three women. Men are also less likely to schedule doctor's appointments, making awareness especially valuable.

This firehouse alone hopes to raise $20,000. All funds will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the LIVESTRONG foundation.
