MIDDLETOWN - A New Jersey day camp is helping raise money to keep swimmers safe.
Campers at the Monmouth Day Camp took to the pool as part of the camp's annual Swim-a-Thon.
Money raised by the swimming campers goes toward the American Red Cross' water safety programs, but the camp's director says it's not just about raising money. "We're trying to do two things: raise money and instill in the kids a little community service," says John Oxley.
The American Red Cross trains nearly 2 million people a year in water safety and swimming.
