JERSEY CITY - The New Jersey Hall of Fame unveiled its new mobile museum Monday, displaying items from the state's cultural, political and sports history.
Visitors to the display, which will travel across the state this summer and to schools beginning in September, can listen to recorded histories of famous New Jersey residents like Bruce Springsteen and Toni Morrison.
Many donated items are on display, like Bon Jovi's demin jacket and work by Thomas Edison.
The musuem's founders wanted to build a permanent museum, but have created the mobile version to generate interest until funds can be raised to build a new Hall of Fame.
This week, the mobile museum will make appearances in Trenton, West Orange and Asbury Park.
