Missing Morris County woman found alive

Officials say a Morris County woman who was reported missing on May 1 has been found alive. Carrie Ruffner, 34, was located approximately 3.4 miles

GILLETTE - A Morris County woman whose disappearance set off a frantic search effort has been found alive, officials say.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office says Carrie Ruffner, 34, was found near the intersection of Carlton Road and Whitebridge Road in Millington, about 3.4 miles from her home.

Ruffner has been hospitalized for evaluation, officials say.

She disappeared on May 1 after dropping off her children with relatives. She was reported missing after she didn't pick them up later.

Officials have not commented on the circumstances following Ruffner's disappearance.
