ATLANTIC CITY - The return of the Miss American pageant to Atlantic City means much more than tiaras and swimsuits.
The sign outside boardwalk hall says "Miss America, since 1921." The pageant was in Atlantic City before it took a hiatus.
Experts say it goes beyond having an economic impact on the community.
In the wake of the storm, many say it will bring people's spirits up and turn Atlantic City into a place beyond just gaming.
The city expects to $30-40 million from the pageant. Dozens of events are expected to attract all kinds of people for the full week.
